• Adaptive Ski Equipment - Great Bear has a limited supply of adaptive ski equipment available to the public at no charge. Please call 605-367-4309 for further information.
• Rental Equipment can only be purchased in person at Guest Services. Each guest must sign a rental waiver if renting equipment. 
• Rental season pass holders may notify the rental shop ahead of their visit and have their gear set and waiting in the season pass holder gear pick up area by emailing rentalshop@greatbearpark.com (must contact at leasts 24 hours in advance).

Rossignol Experience Center

Great Bear is proud to announce that we are one of the select ski parks with a Rossignol Experience Shop, providing all Rossignol ski equipment for rental. Rossignol ski equipment is award-winning winter sports equipment, known for helping beginner skiers get started easier. Our staff is available to answer any of your questions and assist you with the Rossignol Experience at Great Bear.

Discounted rates are available for groups of at least 20 paid skiers, snowboarders and/or tubers. Group reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance.

• Helmet rentals are available for $10 per person. Helmets are recommended, but not required.
• Group Lessons: One-hour beginner ski or snowboard group lessons are an additional $20 per person. You must have at least 4 paid participants in the lesson to get this rate and everyone must be at least 6 years old. We are unable to combine skiing and snowboarding in the same lesson. Book online at greatbearpark.com/lessons.
• Children ages 5 and under ski/ride free with a paid adult (includes lift ticket and rental equipment)
• Each guest must sign a rental waiver if renting equipment. A copy is available to download, print and fill out at home.

Rental Waiver

To get the group rates, we ask that one person pay for the entire group at the beginning of your visit and distribute the tickets. Please have the number of lift tickets, rentals, helmets, & lessons needed tallied in advance.

No outside food or beverages are allowed in the chalet. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hey 5th graders, $10 gets you a lift ticket, ski or snowboard rental, and helmet rental (based on availability) on Fridays OR Tuesdays every week.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1. Register

• Register and pre-pay for your first visit online today! (Need only complete online registratoin one time. For subsequent visits, please pay when you arrive).
• Once you've paid, please upload a photo of the 5th Grader and sign the waiver.
• Online registration closes at 10 am on Fridays and 1 pm on Tuesdays. However, you can still register in person Fridays at noon and Tuesdays at 3 pm. Please, bring a report card to prove your child is in 5th grade. 

2. Schedule a lesson

• Beginner lessons are offered at 4:30 and 6 p.m. on Fridays for $20. Sign up and pay online at greatbearpark.com/lessons to reserve a spot - only private lessons available on Tuesdays

3. Fill out your rental waiver

• If you're renting equipment, fill out your information online before your first visit
• Rental sizes are limited and on a first come first serve basis (except for those who book a lesson)

3. Pick up your pass

• All participants will get a pass to use for future 5th Grade visits - you may pick it up starting at 12 p.m. on Fridays or 3 p.m. on Tuesdays

4. Keep coming back!

• Visit us every week! Just show your 5th Grade pass on Tuesdays or Fridays at Guest Services, pay $10 and hit the hill with your friends! Only one visit per week.

5TH GRADE REGISTRATION

• As an added bonus - after 8:30 p.m. on Fridays all 5th graders can go tubing for no additional cost!
• Plus, present your 5^th Grade pass any day during the season and receive 10% off your lift ticket and equipment rental at Guest Services! Not valid with any other discounts.

No promotions or discounts apply. Tickets purchased will be available to pick up the night of the event at 8 pm and are to be claimed by presenting the confirmation email at Guest Services.

Tickets are non-refundable, unless Great Bear Ski Valley cancels the event due to inclement weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

• Great Bear Ski Valley recommends that for safety reasons, pregnant women and children aged 4 and under or under 42 inches tall do not tube. All tubers must purchase a tube ticket and only one person is allowed per tube.
• The use of helmets is also recommended, but not required. Rental helmets are available for $10 at Guest Services.
• Each guest must sign a digital waiver before tubing. The waiver is good for the whole season.

 

TUBING BIRTHDAY PARTIES

• Birthday child tubes for free!
• A large, 1 topping pizza & 4 regular sodas for $19.95 (prices subject to change). Additional pizzas & sodas may be purchased.
• We ask that no outside food or beverages be brought into the chalet. However, you are welcome to bring in a cake. Please remember to bring along forks, plates and serving utensils.
• If you want to bring goodie bags, we ask that they not include candy, pop, gum or confetti. Also, please don't bring in helium balloons.
• We are unable to reserve tables for your party. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
